[ mood | pleased ]

So On a trip to Ollie's(a discount/ware house type store) today I found Plan 9 from outer space with an extra mini documentary on Ed wood for 1.99. This is the king of bad movies folks. If you have not seen it do yourself a favor and watch it. It is so bad it is great and the filmed mistakes are rib busting.

Birdemic: Shock and Terror (Or: Oh, hell no) [08 Sep 2013|07:59pm]

I will give you a big hint for watching this “film”: rent it on DVD.  Skip right to chapter 8, “the first attack”.  Don’t worry, you have not missed a damn thing. The plot is completely inconsequential to this movie.  I watched the first seven “chapters”, and that is 48 minutes of my life I shall never get back.

No. No, no, no...NO.Collapse )

The Darkest Hour (2011) [24 Mar 2012|08:13am]

lalladil
Yeah, it's been far too long. RL will do that to me.

So, last year, I see trailers for this movie. It looked pretty damned good, until I actually watched the movie!!

Basic plot: Centered around a couple Americans in Moscow, there to seal a tech deal that would make them rich, get backstabbed by a "friend", and drink the night away at a club. Some pretty lights fall from the sky, and that's when all hell breaks loose. People start getting sucked into the shiny balls of electrical evil which seem to be hunting people.

What went wrong: Hooboy. The acting wasn't really that bad, given the things we find about the movie. The ball lightning beings can only 'see' people's microelectric field. You can literally hide from them by putting a pane of glass between you and them! ....the hell?
Also, why are they there? The aliens want our mineral ore. Thar's right. The Earth is attacked by intergalactic claim jumping Miners!! ...the HELL?? It just goes to hell from there. Crazy scientists in a home-made Faraday cage? Yep! Balls-crazy 'weapon' made of spare parts to fight the aliens? You betcha. "Heroes" going back in the danger zone to rescue a friend? FFS, people...

MSTable?: Maybe. You'd have to watch it a few times to really find good stuff to mock.

Final rating: If you can completely detach any form of disbelief and leave your rational mind at the door, it's ok.

--Nerikull, still watching the bad ones.

Dolls [27 Sep 2011|01:06am]

Aaaaand just in time to be added to everyones Halloween Must Watch list...Dolls. I honestly can't tell if this was meant to be a kids horror or an adults, but that pretty much sums up all 1980's horror movies. Dolls is definitely a bad movie, but more in a cheesy way than anything. For its time the special effects (the dolls themselves) aren't too bad. The four main characters are likeable and the plot isn't too bad. I actually found this after a friend made me watch the whole thing (I still don't know weather to forgive her or not), she told me that she first saw this when she was a child and the opening scene with the bear freaked her out so much that she couldn't watch the rest of the movie. In fact I got a couple of similar comment when I posted it on the ontdcreepy community.

Just be thankful that I haven't been able to find the movie with the kung-fu werewolf...yet.

Dracula 3000 [01 Sep 2011|10:13am]

Ho boy is this one bad!! It tries the almost 100% certin b movie formula of vampires in space, but it goes one step further and puts Dracula himself in space, compleate with a cape with a big goofy collar. Add to this Coolio as a wise cracking pot head(pot is legal in the year 3000) who gets turned in to a wise cracking vampire and you have b movie gold. This one was so b movieafric that I am looking forward to adding it to my collection with a place of honour right next to vampire wars(another b vampires in space flick). If you enjoy cheezey scifi/horror seek this one out!

Well, Hiya! I'm new to this community and I was going to lurk for a while, but then I re-discovered this movie. Then I watched it again. Then I LOLed for a bit and re-watched it just to make sure it really was that bad. And it is. So bad that its good.
Without further a do, I present to you for your viewing pleasure (or not) 13th Child: Legend of the Jersey Devil!
I would have embeded it straight into this post, but apparently the guy who uploaded it onto youtube has disabled embedding on his videos, I'm guessing he doesn't want to be blamed for this. I won't tell you anything about the video, why spoil it? XD

Because you really haven't lived until you've heard Vanna White sneer, "BeGone! Before I lay you dead at my feet!!"

(I wish I had a YT clip to share, but no:)

Vanna, Little Richard, that sleazy guy from Empty Nest and the car commercials, the chick from Married With Children, and lots of 80's hair and synthesizers. Have fun.

Paranormal (W)Activity [14 Mar 2010|10:03am]

So, I just finished watching "Paranormal Activity".

..without making snide remarks. (At first)

To me, this was a mixed-bag movie. Yes, there are the jump out of the seat moments, there are moments that just had me laughing, and there were quite a few moments that made me say WTF?

They might be spoilers...Collapse )
So, I liked it, really...it was scary, and riffable.

Legion - The Apocalypse was never this much fun. [13 Feb 2010|07:25am]

lalladil
[ mood | giggly ]

If you saw the trailer, you pretty much saw the movie. That being said, I had a blast watching this movie.

Michael (the Arch-Angel)falls to Earth, cuts off his wings, and the fun begins. He's on a mission to save a baby, and humanity. Seems that God got a little miffed with us (again), and is sending the Angels to take us out. How? By POSSESSING the weakest to swarm over the rest. So....yeah.

The band of survivors are in the middle of nowhere. Some grumpy guy and his son, the hired help, the waitress, rich couple with a slutty daughter that broke down, token black character with a past...just trying to make it thru another day. Little do they know that the poo will hit the propeller.

I saw a lot of things coming, and there were a ton of points where I was just teary-eyed from laughing.

Not the best or most original movie, no, but it was a LOT of fun. I can see this one being given to Rifftrax.

My personal riff? "So, the agents of the Apocalypse will commute from the suburbs?"

PWNT: Uwe Boll [23 Apr 2008|06:06am]

lalladil
(X-post from my LJ)
YES! The fine folks at Blizzard (makers of World Of Warcraft) had a conversation with infamous "director" Uwe Boll, in regards to making a movie based on WoW.

http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2008/04/18/uwe-boll-wont-ever-be-entering-the-world-of-warcraft/

Quoth the Blizzard, "...especially not you!"

Heeeeeehehehehhehehe. About time someone told this hack to go away.
